When I was in school ( 19-23) I joined a local security company that did residential security. When someone was performing construction on their house (rich people's houses nearing completion or adding on -alarm silenced-), on vacation, after death (guarding a house before estate sale), my job was to sit in the house and patrol around once an hour. Most of the houses were upper end (security billing 24-7 isn't cheap), so I got paid to live in a house I'll never be able to afford, and do homework. A few times I nailed girlfriends on shift after the mobile patrol guys did their rounds. Getting paid to do homework, nothing like it at that age.
