I need to cut weight quick!!!

I've been given the opportunity to fight as an alternate on a local card but I weigh too much for the opponent I'll be fighting. He said he'd not figh anyone over 240. Right now I'm right at 250. It's a local card. I asked about weight divisions but they said he agreed, due to circumstances, that if he had to fight someone else, that he's not to be over 240. Now I want to do this without falling apart and looking like shit. I have a week to drop ten lbs. I thought about taking the first two days and take nothing but multivitamins and protien shakes every few hours to shred the fat initially and then slowly add carbs back in til I drop the 10lbs. I don't want to cut water. Last time I did I was fucking worthless. I just don't want to lose alot of muscle mass that i've gained while on this last cycle. Thoughts? Ideas? Take a big shit? LOL! It's still a maybe but, I'd love to be ready if given the opportunity.

there's no way you could lose 10lbs in a week and still be able to win a fight.

I was afraid of that. It's not a mixed martial arts match either. I can't come to work looking beat all to hell. It's a boxing match. 3 3 minute rounds. I've lost weight carb cycling like you taught me how to DK but I know it won't come off like THAT! Losing the water wasn't an option and not eating wasn't one either. Kinda crutched myself a litlte don't you think?! :D

losing water and muscle glycogen is NO option for a boxing match because you'll desperatly need these in the fight. otherwise you won't survive 3 rounds.

It's what I needed to hear bro. I appreciate it. Seeing guys sitn in a sauna and run in trash bags is suicide to me. I'll still show up anyway. Just incase they can fit me in somewhere.

I have been into martial arts before i ripped some tendons in my knee.

Have a go, but be sure you save up your energy for the fight. going exhausted and dehydrated is not good. Normally you should have enough time before to fit into the right weight class, people going to the sauna before a fight to lose weight is only good if the weighing in is some days or even hours before the fight so they can replenish their muscle glycogen and water for the fight.  ;D ;D

Fight is tomorrow night. Weighed in at 242 this morning after cutting out all but 50-60 carbs a day and some days less than that last week. Also, not being able to eat all day yesterday might have helped that a little. I don't think I'll make weight but I'm still showing up. I went back to my normal eating scheduel save the carbs today so that'll throw in about another lb or so of weight with the food in my system. If I get to throw I'll be happy, if not well it'll let me know how much time I'll need to know ahead of time to get ready for a match. I'll keep you guys updated!

i wish i would have seen this earlier i used to cut 10-15 pounds in 2-3 days for wrestling. first of all you have the diet down cut your liquids to pretty much nothing a day before weigh ins, hit the sauna 3-4 times a day for 15-20 minutes folowwed with just a half mouth ful of water, you should loose about 2-3 pounds in your sleep if you hit the sauna for a day and cut your water youll make the weight without loosing energy from running
