Monetary donations for a teenager's all girl basketball team (Trip to Orlando for a week, just so happens the parents wanted to go along too and they need donations)
What would you do if you received this email from a neighbor?? Keep in mind to this point you have not said you would give a dime!

Subject: Donations for Dana’s team
Hello Family, Friends and Neighbors
We have spoken with you over the past 3 weeks about a donation for Dana’s Basketball Team, we ran out of time and did not get a chance to come by and collect the $125 donation we were asking for, we have made donations in your family name to the team, if that was ok, we would like to collect when we return.
And thank you very much for your support.
I will update you from Nationals.
Thanks,

How s/he is able to fit those big brass ones in their pants is beyond me. (instincts tell me a chick wrote that)

Dear XXXXX
I understand the dilemma you are in. I know time is precious these days and as such you were unable to collect prior to the trip.
I too found myself in a similar time crunch situation, in my own fundraising efforts.
You see, not only did I forgot to collect your donation, I neglected to inform you I was raising funds to begin with.
Where does the time go? Since I neglected to collect from you, I too found the "initiative" (for want of a more diplomatic term) to go ahead and make the $250 donation I was seeking from you, on your family's behalf.
Why don't we get together this afternoon, so we can settle accounts? $125 from you and we can call it even.
If this afternoon, is not good for you, perhaps we can settle up at some time in the future? You pick the date.
Again, thank you for your support.
Regards,
Hustleman
