Yes they CAN  be bad, but i would never put someone (a pro athlete or someone trying to make a professional sporting career) in the same category as a heroin addict or something like that. Most of the people who take steroids are trying to improve or become better in their sport, people who take serious drugs like heroin and shit are just pathetic.
