yes it is true that vick hasnt been convicted yet(he will be), but the nfl isnt a court of law either. playing in the nfl is a privilage and comes with certain
responsibilities. the facts of the case which are already known are more than enough for him to be suspended right now. goodell has already asked him
not to report to training camp, hopefully there will be word of an official suspension sometime this week.
If people got this worked up over child or spouse abuse......
At any rate, I disagree with mistreating animals but there are still laws. Suspending him to shut up a bunch of people is probably what will happen, even thought it is the wrong thing to do. Doing the right thing (telling people to mind their own business and let the justice system take care of this) would take too much attention away from the game.
A bunch of nitwits protesting shouldn't stop a guy from doing his job. A buttload of people are dying in the war. Perhaps people should put the same energy into protesting something like that.
Funny thing is... if he's suspended and not convicted the law suit money would be enough to keep him in fresh dogs forever. He's never have to worry about money ever again and be set. The team owners have to think about their business and what would be more expensive. My guess is a wrongful termination lawsuit loss would be more expensive than the bad press. Besides, protesters would make the games more popular and increase viewership.
