Remedy against visceral fat
« on: August 22, 2007, 05:19:02 AM »
I'm a pretty lean guy, the only thing that worries me is that i have a bit of a belly.
So i guess my visceral fat is the problem.

What are the best ways to combat this? More cardio? More protein, less carbs? I read onhere that it's related with insulin spikes.
Or should a normal diet do the trick? Thing is, my bf % is already quite low, and i'd rather do a lil bulk to gain some more muscle.

Someone give me the 411.

Wether it is visceral or subcutaceous fat only diet works.
Visceral fat is meant to be easier to loose than subcutaceous.
Maybe you also just have a bit of a distended belly, even when I have sharp visible abs my tummy distends if I relax.

I have never used GH
I have had this since late teenage years.

Some guy on here was explaining that insulin spikes is the cause of persistant visceral fat. It was on a thread about the big guts in bodybuilding these days.

I'm thinking that maybe he's right. Even though i don't use insulin, i've had some MAJOR sugar bombs over the last 10 years which i think caused the belly a bit. It's not that bad, but i rather have it totally flat.

So, i think i'll try to keep insulin spikes low (low GI foods etc.), decrease my calories a bit and i'll see what happens.
