Samsung has always been good to me. But then again, I used to say that about Sony until they started putting out crap.

What happened Stella?

I would say the LCD/PLASMA panels from samsung are ok (lg is the king).
Same for flash memory, samsung is like the biggest supplier in the world, no matter which brand are you picking, its more likely the flash memory is samsung.

How do i know this? I've been to so many factories in China :) thats where i learned the secret: Why pay thousands for sony, when their panel is either lg or samsung :)

We had a new TV delievered on Wednesday.  Yesterday (Friday), I turned on the TV and the sound works correctly but this is the screen:

(When I finally got through to a Samsung "tech," she was not very nice and had me try to reset it which did not work.  She wants to send out repairmen on a 2 day old TV as "replacement isn't their policy!"  We are just going to take it back to the store  >:( )

I had a samsung phone a long time ago . . . that story didn't have a happy ending either.  Did someone recommend the samsung tv?

No, But we wanted the screen as large as possible but it needed to fit into a 39" built-in cabinet.  When we were at the store we saw that it would work so that's the one we got.

This has reminded me of 2 Samsung DVD players that we had that were complete junk!  One worked about 3 times and the other worked for only a few months.  I ended up buying a 30 dollar one at Sam's club and it's a champ!

Samsung =  >:(

Yep.  Don't even get me started.   >:(  Just had major work done on my year-old Samsung big screen.  Lucky it was under warranty.

We'll see what happens...the store came out and replaced the old one w/a new one.
