I honestly don't think foreign players in the league are the problem if that was the case Italy, and especially spain would be suffering from the same problem that we are, but they're not.
I would be pick Gerard over a lampard, just think he is a better player. Most of all we need to find a decent keeper..fast, Robinsons' form has taken a nose dive, and to be honest even on form he's not that great.
Foreign players are helping the football to become better in England. Look at where football was 15 years ago in England. It was fcuking Gascoigne, Tony Adams (WTF?), David Saynomore..
And don't even get me started on the fcuking pathetic generation back in the 60's. Charlton, Best and those lamers. They weren't the good old days. They were the lucky old days, before the rest of Europe had recovered from the World War II.
There was a time a workhorse like Terry Butcher could get into the white jersey without actually being able to
play football.
Today, looking at guys like Rio, Theo Walcott, Steven Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney, Hargreaves...
These are all players who are footballers, not just hitmen out for the big star on the other side.
England will never be a major force in football, not the way Brazil, Argentina, Holland, Italy and Germany are.
But together with France, and a few other nations, England can once in awhile become contenders.
That's just the truth. And the media in England needs to stop bullshitting about how losing to Germany is a disgrace.
Newsflash: Germany is one of the top 3 teams in the world right now, and matching up even with them is pretty fcuking good. England did pretty good, I say.
