I understand your point of view. I don't agree with animal abuse, but Michael Vick deserve a secongd chance. We have murderers and child molesters on the loose everywhere, and killing a couple of fcuking dogs is considered the same thing. I don't get it

I think he should pay a 7 figure fine, do a couple of months inside and 6-7months of community service at the SPCA. Suspended for a year from the NFL with suspended pay and return his signon bonus.

I agree that leadership in the African American community should provide more actual leadership rather than apologies for misconduct- more encouragement for responsibility

On a side note, I find it disheartening to discuss classifications like race so much. When it comes right down to it, we are all individuals. I've always tried to give everybody a fair chance when I meet them and if you sincerely treat people with respect, you usually receive it back.

baseless claims undoubtedly have been made, but it is also very true that many major police departments have been caught engaging in some very discriminatory behavior- such as planting evidence, physically abusing suspects during interrogation, and blatant profiling- the Chicago PD and the LAPD have been particularly guilty of such acts

While blacks arent heading fortune 500 companies in droves, opportunistic race baiters like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson try to shake down every non black owned coporation they can to push for racial quotas in upper management and elsewhere. This practice of racial McCarthyism ( calling anyone and everyone a racist to detract from the truth) causes many organizations to fold under pressure to avoid bad press. As a result underqualified  black individuals recieve promotions in droves while qualified whites and asians are largely pushed to the side. This pathetic practice also takes place at our nations Universities ( even though there are more than 10 national BLACK universities), graduate schools and in various levels of government.

When any black person does something wrong and it makes national news regardless of the evidence they immediately scream racism or call for leinancy. The result is more racism, no real change for the better and black people who are intelligent, qualified and self sufficent are bunched in with criminals, morons and other assorted members of the VOCAL black community.

I agree when people are found "guilty"... so I would have to take Kobe off the list.

To your point though... I agree... You or I would have an almost impossible time finding a decent job if we were convicted of some of these crimes, but athletes always get a pass... It's just damn disgusting.

Nope.

Very good racers and some retired.  Rescue implies there was danger or harm.  There is none here. This is a racing Kennel in which I do evening turnout as a volunteer.    The dogs are all treated like kings, full air-conditoning, the whole works.  Nicer than most people will EVER treat their dog.  Petsmart accrues more injuries than all proper racing kennels combined.

just because he was a preacher dont make him innocent. he was in fact a bully who happened to be a preacher.  she was found guilty of killing an SOB.  vick has pleaded guilty to cruelty and interstate gambling...both federal crimes.

Are bad cops really the problem? For every unlawful conviction, how many just got caught? This is why EVERYBODY laughs when Chris Rock jokes about it.

As for profiling, this is the epitome of political correctness. They better profile! Those are my tax dollars. Profile CRIMINALS. Blacks more often fit certain profiles - like Muslims at airports! - should we ignore this?
