My workout never takes longer than 1 hour.. that includes my shower and changing, I simply don't have the time since I have to go to work after that, I noticed that I have a lot better results since I have been doing this... last year when I was still training with my Workout partner it would take sometimes (especially legday) 2 hours....fast and intense is much better.
reduce the sets to one working set per exercise. see the difference. i guarantee u will 1: feel better u wont be exhausted, ur receptors wont be overtaxed, and u will grow more. and 2) ur workout will be more itnense u will lift heavier and concentrate better with better contractions. 3) u will be more efficient.
a great example is this. imagine lifting to ur maximum capacity for 8 reps in a set of shoulder presses for failure (i mean all out everything u got)
then try it again (i guarantee u will only get half the reps if not less)
try it again (even worse u might not be able to lift the weight!)
now do u see what i say about intensity here. The intensity (the output) decreased with each set. therefore to workout for an hour effectively it is one hour of low intensity exercises...as the body can only handle 4-5 sets of maximum intensity lifting to failure.
