I've noticed dominicans don't like him..

But I love the guy and would like to meet him one day. He's such an ideal person.. Tall, handsome, talented, good genes and well spoken. And I put strong emphasis on well spoken, because anyone who has dealt with Dominicans should understand.

can't be bothered to go look up a new board for every thread I make. it's of general interest b/c it's not just about sports, it's about statistical probability.  ;D

yesterday, the NYT did a feature on his (half) bro, who is a Lt. Colonel in the Marine Corps . . . when I saw the headline that said "A-Rod & brother: worlds apart," i thought his bro was going to be a gay gangster or something. but no, he's very successful in his own right. good genes.

I've met a guy who saw him in person.. When he talked of him, seemed as though he was trying hard not to praise him about his physical stature and looks. He did blurt out green eyes though. Epic not giving a guy his deserved respect for fear of gayness.

he still needs a world series though . . . and he needs to rock it like all the true greats have.

How about this fact. I cannot remember his name but I think it is Mitch Junkins, he hit two Grand Slams in one inning.  Now figure out those odds.  I have hit 4 home runs in one game and if you ask the coach I hit five but the umpire called one foul.  Figure out those odds too.

Sox hit back to back to back to back hr's vs the yankees this year. That was pretty crazy to watch. I have met Arod a few times. I used to work in the nightclub industry. Both Jeter and Arod are much larger in person. Arod is way taller then you think. Hopefully ol Alex comes to Boston next year. The guy is a beast!

He grew up in Florida. Not in New York City where he was born. Maybe its different down there?

Valid point.

Miami is a laid back place where everyone nods to you in acknowledgement.

In NYC(washington heights), they scowl and look for fights.

A-Rod is as close to a perfect human being as their is. He should visit all US sperm banks after this steller season.

He's the best baseball player on the planet, I've stopped being surprised at what he can do a long time ago. He's so clearly the MVP that all other candidates should concede the award.

That guy is ridiculously annoying. Not even saying that because I am a Boston fan. Worst announcer ever. Whats with the "yankees win" statement where he sounds like he is fluttering his freaking voicebox with his finger?

"IT IS HIIIIGH,IT IS FAAAR,IT IS...caught at the warning track" ::)
and lets not forget,
"home run for Jason Giambino"
"home run for Bernie Williams, burn Bernie, burn"
