judging?
« on: September 25, 2007, 09:40:14 AM »
Is it me or does it seem that all the contest seem to have a winner or top guy finish dispite how he looks depending on if he is friends or works with the promoter or even if he lives in the area, not trying to say they dont work hard everyone does, but how is it that ex.  Paco wins or always places well when he does a show in his area, but when comes to another show he is in the also competed list,  I mean i could name lots, but not trying to rain on anyones party.  How does this go on I mean its like in australia guys you never hear of place ahead of elite guys,  and lets go even to the amature ranks its funny how a guy wins a contest despite he is training partners with the promotor.  I really think this business needs to be judged on who is the best at each contest not who can sell more products or who can bring a better crowd if they are the champ.  The judging is really what I say is making this sport come down

The judging is a joke.

If the contest is in Spain, Paco wins.

If the contest is in New York, a freak wins.

Get a Flex cover, get a gift at the USA's.

Mr. Olympia never loses a Grand Prix show, no matter what anyone else looks like.

And of course the Olympia, where an AMI-Muscletech guy will win.

this is of course assuming bodybuilding has any credentials to begin with.

you seem to think that a bodybuilding show is somehow an actual competition.  it's a show, meaning it's staged, from the performers, lighting, setting , to the judging.  it's just a show.  don't think for a second it's real.
