SWAT
« on: October 08, 2007, 03:13:30 PM »
why I liked it

number one Samuel L Jackson can play a SWAT seargent and you belive him, but in Jungle Fever he can play a crackhead and you belive him.

number two, The Chris Sanchez character is the same actress that was in Girlfight

number three, they also had not one but two training scenes with buff stuff on a heavy bag, one with the guy and one with the gal

also a shirtless LL Cool J (in the DVD's deleted scenes) was a quick minute of eye candy

My friend Clark directed it and he did an absolutely fabulous job!

He cast my girlfriend Heather (his ex-wife) to play the gunshot victim at the bank.

Meddy if you like LL Cool J topless, ...get to know the guy. it might even make you want to switch teams.  :P

I first met him years ago here in Toronto while working as a body double for Veronica Webb.
It was hilarious because everyone on set was nervous and excited about meeting him, while I was blasè.
To me, he was just another ordinary guy who put his pants on one leg at-a-time like everyone else.
After hanging around with him for a while, I thought "Hey, this guy is pretty cool, pretty down-to-earth. He's not some guy who got cast into the role because of his marquee name, he takes his craft as an actor pretty seriously." So I decided to read his auto-biography over the weekend. Long story short, ...I read the book on the weekend, Monday morning I show up on set, ...and I turn into this absolutely star-struck fan! {giggle} I had so much respect & admiration for him because of everything he went through, and his willingness to put it on paper for others. That and the fact that he got it together and married Simone, the mother of his kids. It was so funny to see the transformation in me. All throughout the shoot, I'd been calling him "J", but then after reading his auto-biography, for some reason I felt compelled to refer to him as "Mr. Smith". I hardly recognized the shy squeaky voice that could barely get the words out "Could you please sign my book Mr. Smith?".

Very few people have ever had that kind of effect on me. I've met literally hundreds of stars.
There's only been 2 who've made me "starstruck". LL Cool J (after reading his auto-biography) & Sofia Loren

Depends on what you're into I s'ppose.

All around it was a great movie. Lots of action, suspense, drama, and a few laughs thrown in.

Collin Farrell is very good in the movie, as is the entire cast. Clark did a fabulous job.

ps - Meddy, the reason Samuel L. jackson did such a believable job of playing a crackhead previously,
...is because for many years he was a crackhead. It was a nightmare he had lived through & knew well.

Metford you're so full of shit it's frighting... the movie us utter crap, it's so far from what they really do in a SWAT team it's not funny anymore,

It's cheesy as hell and badly acted... it's shit.

my only memory regarding swat was when ronnie coleman in one of his videos is going to the movies and a couple of fans stop him and ask what movie he's gonna see and he says "swat"  :D
