Because it used to be beautiful and now its not. Orange county and most of Southern California is filled with narcissitic nouveau riche who have one concern in life, themselves and their spoiled brat children. Laguna Beach used to be the most beautiful place on earth, now it is a ghetto for cultureless new wealth. The artists that once thrived there are gone and replaced by overpriced boutiques and horrible "art" galleries run by bored rich house wives who think they are "artists". Every ounce of land has been developed with oversized McMansions. The hillsides cannot even support all the development. Politicians are paid off so they can overbuild their houses. Neighbors kill each others trees because they block their precious views to the ocean. The last piece of ocean front property has been sold. All of the orange groves are gone. Except for some public beaches and state parks you cannot get to the ocean, and to park your car so you can they charge a fortune. The poor cannot even go to the beach.

There was never any master plan to preserve the land or create any kind of green belt for the wildlife. The hillsides have been raped by developers because Southern Californians are apathetic, careless and shallow. Give them a car, expensive clothes and a starbucks coffee and they are happy. Their lives revolve around the insides of their homes and they could care less about anything else or anyone around them.

Arnold has done nothing to stop the development. He enjoyed it when it was beautiful and he could give a shit about it now.

And to top it off there is no environmental movement to speak of.

Some day Mother Nature will take back those hillsides and I will be happy.

I've met him on a few occasions - he's a cool guy but he's real short and I doubt he'll make much of an impact if he gets a pro card simply due to his height.

He's significantly shorter than Lee Priest and has no where near the development Lee had at that age. He's arguably the best British bodybuilding has at the moment other than Zak Khan but even in five years time I'll be surprised if he's making much of an impact in the pro ranks.
