The best NFL offseason trades and or aquisitions.
« on: October 15, 2007, 01:47:58 PM »
Since the WR's for the Patriots are all new this season, they were all aquired in the offseason and since they are so incredibly effective it got me thinking about the best offseason rebuilding in the NFL.

I don't think there's been a season when a team had a completely new receiving corps and had an offense as potent as the Pats.

That's just the offense, Belichick even picked up Thomas in the offseason.

At least since I've been following the NFL the Pats had the best offseason I've ever seen.

Sorry for the homer thread but they're so effin good it's hard not to talk about them.

I loved all the haters scratching there head as to why NE would give up a second rounder for Welker. The guy is a slot receiver who had over 130 yards receiving last night vs a very good d. He returns kicks/punts , can play corner and is scary fast. The kid can kick field goals and extra point's to. No I'm not kidding. He jukes people so bad its laughable. We are talking about a slot receiver who has to be double covered.

He always TORCHED the pats when he played us. I loved that move. He is Troy Browns replacement. He is only 25!

The great thing about this offseason is the fact the pats built 90 percent of there team through the draft. The entire offensive / defensive line was drafted. The qb's. There number 1 and 3 running backs , the entire secondary, There 1 and 3 tight ends, and all there depth was built in the draft.

Ob I am a homer, but to do what they did in the offseason and still have a full aray of picks is why they win year after year.
