As in go on an increased calorie diet, where you lift your ass off..

I'd say springtime for me... But I dunno. What are your experiences?

On the contrary, bulking is a must for naturals.  Look at these two warriors of iron and try to tell me that bulking has not benifited their physiques:

and of course the upcoming 2009 Nationals champion:

You need an increased calorie diet to put on more size. call it what you will, but it's the truth.

I've got 5-10lbs lbs more to add. How do I know? Well, I was gaining despite injuries, when I was eating 3,000 calories a day.

These days I don't squat due to lower back problems, but can my rows are decent at 225 for reps. Bench is similar, I am respectable, but know that if I put on more and diet down again I can be bigger, and stronger than at this weak and pathetic state. I may look decent in photos, but I feel less like a bb'er than ever before.

actually summertime is best to bulk, your body isn't burning extra calories that it does during the cold months to warm your body so it's easier to bulk up.

Truth to this, and there is no school during the summer.

You're a genius..  :o Start during early spring and burn it off by october...

given that nattys can only gain a certain amount of muscle in a given time period you are just adding mostly fat and water.

but then again 5-10lbs shouldn't make that much of a difference

since seeing the mr getbig contestants I am trying to stay somewhat lean yet improve my weaks points...which I have many of

Then you need an increase in calories unless you plan to stay the same size. I say add a little, then burn it off within 12 weeks.

My quads need more size, so does my chest. I can hit mandatory poses lean likee mad, but need the finishing touches and of course less fat.

Us nattys look lean and handsome, and look like we work out for fun here and there. But people don't realize.   :-\

I agree, but the main factor is that when you bulk you still eat fairly clean and just increase the amount rather then pigging out on bad shit every other meal. The main thing I do for winter is just lift heavier in general and tend to rely more on fats for calories then carbs for obvious reasons.

Nr1 priority in life is being lean. Thats it. Everything else that life involves falls behind in whatever, no particular order. Bulk is simply out of the question.

So you want to be out of shape when people can see you and lean when you're wearing extra clothing?  Genius idea.
