caffeine causes competitive inhibition of adenosine receptors.
so caff structure can bind to adenosine receptors blocking adenosine(which normally inhibits shit, slows you down) and this causes release of epinepherine from the adrenals and increases dopamine by blunting re-uptake.
basically it increase catecholamines, and gives you some euphoria and energy.
caff is the shit for energy in short periods like 2 weeks but the constant release of adrenalin will wreck your body in the long haul, and depress your immune system..
the only time id take caffeine for long periods is with green, white tea as it works synergistically with egcg, and other phenols.
