In terms of money and credit, I have more than any other 26 year old I know who lives in my low rent community.

Pretty well everyone I talk to is in debt.
I've spent maybe $25 on myself this month so far above and beyond my base living expenses. Don't get me wrong, material things do offer me some level of personal fulfillment, but not nearly as much as achieving goals in the gym, pursuing my education, building a strong social network, and saving money. There is an expression that junk food can never TASTE as good as being fit FEELS. I would agree. I also feel that the personal satisfaction that comes with saving money and securing a good future is better than buying a lot of things.
