If you ladies leave my island, if you survive recruit training... you will be a weapon, you will be a minister of death, praying for war. But until that day you are pukes! You're the lowest form of life on Earth. You are not even human fucking beings! You are nothing but unorganized grabasstic pieces of amphibian shit! Because I am hard, you will not like me. But the more you hate me, the more you will learn. I am hard, but I am fair! There is no racial bigotry here! I do not look down on ####, *&^%, wops or greasers. Here you are all equally worthless! And my orders are to weed out all non-hackers who do not pack the gear to serve in my beloved Corps! Do you maggots understand that?

I've heard many stories like how they used to give them weed for free.  Smack was extra but 50% of the black squads did it.  Any drug was available and always pussy.  Raped a lot of vietcong.  Not them so they say...  ::)   That's what a few black dudes I used to work with told me.  I was told 20 years ago so those guys were like 40's at that time.  They came out of it OK.  They said they had flashbacks sometimes but not as often as when they got back. Said they saw some fucked up shit.  Just mass murdering of civilians.  Usually the white dudes. Plus their friends of course.  They said they always sent in a black dude to see if holes were clear...lol.    Crabs were rampant.  But they had plenty of booze and drugs to numb it all.  I love hearing about nam cuz that was a true jungle warfare bloodbath.

Didn't serve in the 'nam but I did my time in World War I. Was about to go up over the top one day and suddenly a whistle rang out into the bleak skies.

The war had stopped.

It was christmas day and we ran out and played football with all the germans like true brothers. Until the ball was punctured on some razor wire.

We carried on with the war the next day like nothing had ever happened.

True story - I'm actually 105 years old.

Ive played paintball, pretty cool-but it was in a heavily wooded area, more fun than indoors.

this cook Rick served in Vietnam.  He was still suing the government to get disability.

He lived on a cot in the cellar of a rest home where he was a cook.  Strange guy

now is a good time to share your experience with us... or maybe you have a dad that served and he told you and now you wanna tell us

One of my uncles that served in Viet Nam was shot five times and they put him in what they called "the dead room."  This was the room they placed guys that they knew were not going to make it.  But he lived  :)

Another uncle that served there was in charge of his platoon and from the story I heard (as he's never talked about it w/me) he believed a lot of guys got killed because they were drugged out and not alert.  He told his men that if he caught any of them doing drugs he would kill them himself.  He didn't lose one man.  This same uncle did a second tour by choice which somehow kept another uncle who was waiting to do his tour from going.  The first uncle believed the other one wouldn't have been able to handle it.

my sister's father in law served as a radio operator in a helo...his bronze star citation said he lept out of the helo, cut down six enemy NVA regulars, saved two wounded soldiers, and dragged one mortally wounded guy back the chopper...saving the day like audie fucking murphy....

real version: according to the man himself: helo took off, he fell out, busted his ass, shot his rifle at anyone in the vicinity until the helo picked his ass up....received unending razzing from his buddies...
