Muay thai guys do this to condition their shins for actual fighting.
The soft trunk is similar to hitting pads/bag. I went to Thailand, and it seems
every young man tries to be a Muay Thai fighter. You see their shorts and gloves hung
on fences and stuff near their little shanties/houses to dry out.
It is such a poor country, many of them can't afford bags.
I trained at Fairtex in Bangplee, and I got the impression that the Thai children
who trained there came from wealthy families. Their fathers would watch them
train, they were very into it. They were dressed much more nicely than the
average Thai man. The kids showed up there with private school uniforms on too.
He's not on shit. Even the pro's out there drink these little amino drinks and think
it is like drugs. There was a pharmacy across the street that sold AAS, and none of them
gave a shit about it. They criticized me for carrying extra mass and said it would slow me
down.
Some nuts use Yaba, speed pills, but I didn't know any fighters that used them, just
weirdo junkies in bangkok.
