L-ARGININE QUESTION

I been hearing that L-arginine is a good product for bodybuilding. How much and when should I take it?

whats even better than l-arginine is arginine alpha-keto-glaurate.

either way..take it before you train. it will increase blood flow to the muscles. helping get a better pump and more effective workout.

I take the following about 30 minutes before training: (on a fairly empty stomach)
1.5 grams of L-Arginine Ethyl Ester
1.5 grams of Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate
5 grams of L-Arginine

I can notice a difference since I started taking this.

honestly...do you notice anything from the taurine? and adding in additional l arginin during workout? i have never heard of drinking arginine during workout...so that sounds interesting.. but i have heard and read many things about taurine; and it seems the consensus is that it doesnt really do anything for you. but if you feel a difference then results>science...     a also have soem bcaa's during my workout. i think that is the key ingredient for an effective workout actually.

If 1000 mg = 1 gram and you take 5 grams, then that means I would have to take 10 pills? My arginine is 500 mg, so 10 pills would = 5 grams?

10 pills at one sitting? :(  ???

I use powdered form of the Arginine's in my post. They taste bad so I mix a little Crystal Lite powder with it. I drink it about five or ten minutes before leaving for the gym. It also doesn't upset my stomach. 

Besides...what's wrong with taking 10 pills in a sitting?

No, it's not too much for the body. I don't care for pills. I used to take 10 L-Arginine pills before training.

bcaa's can be taken before, during, AND after your workout. in fact you will get much better gains by doing so.  just take about 5 grams worth per serving..and yes i drink it water when i take them. plenty of water. water=better pumps, more efficient fat loss.

A good old bottle of Pumptech, Blitz, No Explode, Full Blown works and are a lot better than a buncha pills at once . But for more bang for your buck a local nutririon store will have each of L-Arg bythemselves and cheaper. I like the first ones thou but have gone the other route also.

taurine is used in congestive heart failure and renal issues, is a great anxiolytic and sedative, and can help with RLS. it also reduces brain swelling and helps maintain eletrolyte ratios. i think its one of the better aminos for health, stress and for hangovers bigtime. from a bodybuilding perspective it may help reduce cortisol which is beneficial.


if your looking for muscle gains from aminos then leucine, leucine and more leucine. tyrosine is helpful for energy via catechols, and may help hypothyroidal people with production of these hormones.

taking many different aminos sometimes fucks up the absorbtion so i would only take two to three at one time, unless you have esters et .

I can feel/tell the difference in taking my taurine/l-arginine mix while training.

I've always supplemented with taurine since I started messing with clen about five years ago (eventhough I haven't taken a clen in awhile).
