Cheating Death, Stealing Life: The Eddie Guerrero Story
« on: December 16, 2007, 03:38:25 PM »
I don't follow wrestling and know much about what's going on... but I downloaded the documentary "Cheating Death, Stealing Life: The Eddie Guerrero Story" and it had a happy ending after all the problems eddie guerrero went through... then i looked it up on the net that he died just a year later... the irony considering the title... and if thats not enough, Chris Benoit is in the documentary as well... who as we know 3 years later ended up killing himself, his kid and his wife...

wrestling scene is some sick stuff.

The wrestling mags talk about that shit a lot.  I think the crazy things they do for success take their toll in many ways.  I think 50 big time wrestlers have died in the last 25 years, all before the age of 45 or something like that.

Appears so.. although you never know with Vince.  He scripts this kind of crap to stage comebacks.

every once and a while a wrestler needs to give there body a break and they will take time off, thats hard to put into there story line so sometimes they make up injuries.. i'm not saying that they dont suffer from injuries from time to time, but in some cases its just the wrestler needing time off.
it happened to triple h a couple of years ago, and shawn micheals at the start if this year, Batista 2 years ago and only recently edge and john cena...
wrestling every week and having to practice for that shit must take a huge toll on your body....
And Eddie died from a heart attack, but it was revealed that he was a massive coke head and also did many othere drugs, but still R.I.P

True.  Considering they're schedule I can understand that.  But it appears that cena really did injure himself.

He was clean and sober when he died, the drugs were part of his past problems, alcohol and pills being the biggest issues.
