High alcohol content.  It's also been implicated in cases of mouth cancer.

As a Listerine user, I have not been unmindful of potentially adverse effects from using this product--specifically oral cancer.  I have asked health professions, including my dentist, about this and have been assured the product is safe.  My mind is open to being changed, but for now, I continue to use it with confidence.

It is worth nothing that Listerine is not a new product; it has been around for more than a century.  I am inclined to think that if it increased the risk of oral (or other types of) cancer a great many people would have been impacted long before I came along and Listerine would have been identified as the causative agent.

Rinsing with Listerine is the first or second thing I do every morning.  :)

Listerine works great, i use it every morning. but i would like to take it before bed being that thats the time you need the protection the most. but taking it before i go to sleep will wake me up too much. i keep it in my mouth for a full minute. in your opinions would the alternatives such as the Crest mouthwash be just as effective? ive come to feel that if it doenst sting like Listerine then it doesnt work, as silly as that sounds.

I use the generic Walmart brand.  Much cheaper, just as effective.  The Listerine PocketPaks are really good (Fresh Citrus).  Strong.

...I'm guessing Jag that your multi-level marketing company sells a mouth wash that doesn't contains alcohol?

Well then in that case, ...you'd be wrong, ...AGAIN!  8)

Never had a problem with this challenge. Once that commercial came out, I decided to do it- nothing. I went for a minute- nothing. Yeah, I bought a legit bottle! However, just didn't do anything to me. I could have gone for 2min, but by 1:28 I was bored as hell and spit that shit out faster than a virgin getting her first mouthful....
