Soy is estrogenic. Avoid it.

I believe that the only soy-containing supplement I ever tried was one of the EAS RTD’s, and that was years ago.
ON puts one out: http://www.dpsnutrition.net/get_item_on351.htm

It’s one of the only proteins I haven’t tried from their line, but I've never been disappointed with any of their stuff.

Why, specifically, are you looking for a source of soy?

Yeah, it’s estrogenic, but it has its benefits, too.
So long as you’re not relying on it as your ONLY source of protein, you don't consume too much, your diet is good (lots of cruciferous veggies, etc.), and your natural hormonal levels are all good, a little soy shouldn’t be a problem.

True. But a little in your diet won't hurt you.

I drink a glass of soy milk a day..I try to get my protein from as many different sources as I possibly can...1 chicken meal, a fish meal, steak meal, eggs for breakfast, nuts, soy milk, whey protein, turkey at night.........a variety of different sources I feel is best, they all have different amino profiles.

True. But a little in your diet won't hurt you.

IIRC the whole issue with Soy being estrogenic was in extremely large amounts, like inhuman daily amounts consumed.

Exactly. 10-15 grams a day won't hurt you at all. Shit I used to drink a gallon of Soy milk a week & I didn't grow boobs.  ;D

The last one I tried was GNC Soy Protein 95. Although it's grainy (like most soy proteins), the banana-flavored one tastes pretty good. Plus, I got 2 jugs of it for $40 (marked-down price plus Gold Card discount).

soy isolate should be void of phytoestrogens.

Soy taste like shit so check the sugar content. Some products have a good amount of sugar to mask the bitter taste. Seen some Soy Isolates with Splenda though....

Some blended proteins have Soy Isolate in as well, Max Muscle High 5, BSN Syntha 6...

Some products have a good amount of sugar to mask the bitter taste.

Some are okay.
The particular brand of soymilk I have does contain sugar – 10g / serv.
My regular, fat free moo-cow milk has 12!

But you're right.
Some other brands are higher.

Seen them anywhere from 10-19g. sugar per scoop of Soy. Pointed that out in case bodyfat was a concern...

10 g. sugar can still be a big amount depending on total volume of the scoop.

EXAMPLE:
1 scoop = 20 g.
Protein= 10 g.
Sugar= 10g. BAD RATIO! HALF IS SUGAR!!

This is a far fetched example but just check to see how much of each scoop is sugar.

Sorry.
I was talking about grocery store milk, not protein powder.

My mind wanders.
Not far, but it does.
