Best self-help book I ever read... "As A Man Thinketh"  by James Allen.  It was published in 1905 or so, before there was such a thing as "self help" books.

sounds interesting.  Is it still in print?

Yeah I need the book.  one thing I'm on right now is make a list of 15 things you're willing to do to change your life for the better

1. go to the gym before work

2. prepare diet oriented meals in advance

3. eat smarter throughout the day with said meals prepared in advance.

4. save money to attend college in the fall

etc etc it helps.

I'm sure the book is in print or available at your local library, but you can actually download it (it is quite short):

Wrong.

One can learn some good things in the best self help books.

They are FAR from complete solutions to problems, and one book ain't gonna change your life.

But a good book CAN supply ideas and knowledge that can make it easier to improve in the long run (which is the time perspective most change occurs within, a cumulation of small incremental changes) if these ideas = properly integrated.

This is a good start.  Like I said in another thread...too many people dissatisfied with life, the Earth, and society, and yet far too few actually doing anything to change it.  You must change.  We must change.  Somewhere along the line change got a bad rep, but I am convinced that there are few things more helpful than change!
