What's cutting the federal funds rate really gonna do?
« on: January 23, 2008, 05:01:54 PM »
I'm no economist here.. But..

They're cutting the federal funds rate, no? Means banks are going to lend more money to idiots who'll misuse debt, because banks in gerneral will borrow more money from the federal reserve. In general, it seems to me they're going out of their way to bail out the big banks that took huge losses. What about the average Joe's paycheck not matching up with rising inflation?  :-\ Seems like they don't give a shit.

Why not pass a bill banning labor unions or something? Wouldn't that help US businesses better compete? Why not stop all this huge government spending that's putting the entire nation in debt?

Someone explain to me.
