10th place Ironman prize money = $0.  "Best poser" award = $1,000.  Cost to prep for show = $5,000  minimum.   Net loss -$4,000.  (more if he had to pay his own travel).

His latest "supplement contract" can't be worth much... maybe a few thousand, maybe just free supps.  Cytodyne saw he was a washed up 4th-tier guy who Muscletech dropped, so I'm sure they figured they could get him cheap.

I seriously doubt he's making much of anything from the "sport" at this point.  Ego drives him to continue, and Babs pays the bills.

You gotta wonder for how much longer.. you really think she's gonna stick around when he starts tying for last place with Jocelyn Pelletier ?

He's said they're 21 inches in interviews.

it's possible.  he's a tall guy, probably 5 10 or so.

He reached his genetic potential years ago and should consider 'retirement'.

While King placed 10th at the Ironman out of a lineup of 32, as I predicted, the question is once again, can King improve? King had worked with 4 different advisors, each with their own combination and styles, but what now? Where do we go from here?

Surprisingly, and I know many will mock me for this, the persona King employs is different than the persona King is. For those who went to the seminar the next day, and there were about 50 people, you saw a King that was honest, receptive to all, and informative.  I videotaped a little of the seminar, and it will be up soon.

IMO, no.  He's in his late 30's. He's been juicing since he was like 12 or something...  his receptors are shot.  It's all downhill from here.  Ask Dave Palumbo or Greg Kovacs.

He can't fix his torn biceps... he just has that aged look to his body already, just compare his current physique to his pretty respectable Arnod Classic 2001 showing. His quads also have a weird shape to them, which makes them look small.

He did make improvements from his last showing though I'll give him that: his gut looks better, quads are bigger, has a healthier look to him even. But we all have to be honest here; kamali does not belong on a bb stage, his days are over and we're sick of the gifts being given to him.

i don't think it's a matter of his arms being small, but rather that he seems to have all the size up near the arm pit (bis and tris).

looking at the proportion here to the joints, tendons and forearms i have no doubt that he has done something to artificially add this size ie synthol, site inject, whatever.

i don't know how the oil thing works, but i don't understand why this problem can't be fixed, seeing as he seems to have so many 'advisors'.

pro bbing has to be about chasing the ideal so, from that perspective, if you look at say, arnold's, sergio's, ronnie's or wheeler's arms as the ideal, how close are tamali's arms to the 'ideal'.

i know dorian won an olympia with a fucked up arm (which imo was wrong) but, this is a physique competition ffs and these guys are supposed to be professionals. where does the line get drawn, or is that redundant terminology in pro bbing...

What some of you don't realize is that regardless of where you place, sometimes your pesona, business mind and just competing can get you a supplement contract or other deals.  Prize money is just a small part of many bodybuilder's overall financial status for the year.

King just got another new deal, with Cytodyne.  Not bad at all.  I know quite a few bodybuilders that would like any deal they can from a suppement company.

there how many threads about king? and he placed tenth.... how many threads are there for the individuals who placed 2-9? How many people actually know who placed 2-9? All of you people on here who are saying he should retire.... how about the guys who placed 11-32.... should they retire as well? Since king sucks, they must suck even more... right?  ::)

He was not at his all-time best, but he was not at his all-time worse either... and he has looked worse, and he has improved.... and most important he is doing something he is enjoying, who are you to tell him he shouldn't be doing it?

Forget about the persona, the question is quite simple.
Why does he keep competing when he is probably not making ANY money and DESTROYS his health?

He can have a better career as some personal trainer for the rich,he can say yeah I competed against the best so pay me 200$ per hour  ;D

Are you serious? I doubt that either the contract or the collum pay anything near 50-70K that he can get in a pretty average job.
Add to that the health toll.....yes...it sucks to be him.

I dont like being lied to.

Everytime king says he'll have an "alltime best", he is lying to us.

He knows darn well he won't look 2001, but he says it anyway.

Be honest, King.
