The fact is, Rush can't wait for there to be a liberal dem in office. He'll probably vote for Obama or Hillary. His business or entertainment as he calls it, does best when he has his phantom menace to hate on.

As you know, I was a big Rush listener in the 90s and still catch his show a few times a week. I like to hear all angles and perspectives.

I can tell you Rush has been hugely marginalized in the last 5 years. His listener base is eroding, his message is just SO far right, that many just don't agree anymore.

because 80% of the population listens to music at work. A small group listens to an entertainer like Rush - those who prefer meanspirited politics to rock music.

his base is eroding, joe, he used to be highly influential. I've been listening - probably longer than you hve lol... as I was finding Rush on AM stations back when Clinton/Bsuh were battling it out.... man those were the days... i hated clinton with a passion.

So in fairness, I listened to Rush while you were still voting Dem. Fair enough? I'm way more of a conservative than you are, so please don't call me a lib. I carry a gun, I support damn near every repub domestic policy except taxes. I support war for oil and bases, so I'm okay with iraq - I just support it for the true reasons, not that silliness you share "It's about sharing democracy and helping people"... remember, our planes flew right over mass slaughter in Africa to set up camp in iraq.

LOL... well it kinda dispels the argument - the one we USED to hear - that we're not in it for the oil, we're in iraq to save lives and bring democracy.

Saddam was an animal, but he didn't do a lot of killing for the last 20 years since the iran war and the gassing of the kurds. He was evil, sure. but there is/was mass slaughter in africa which continues today. We've never uttered a word about ending that. But we sure as hell have the oil pipeline covered!

Why is it our job. Can't Europe do something for a change....much like the Balkans, Africa is their mess. I have no doubt that under Obama, we will be in Africa. No..not because he's black but because he has ties to Kenya and Libs have always been shills for the UN.

the left complains when we only enter countries where 'helping' them gives us access to trillion in oil.

You know more about iraq than I do - but from what i gather from the news, the average Iraqi in 2002 lived a lot happier, more stable life than they do in 2008. Yeah, saddam was a dictator, but as long as they did what they were told, they didn't have to worry about suicide bombs or roving gangs of terrorists killing each other over sunni/shiit drama.

Obama's cousin runs Kenya...that country went from the most stable post-colonial African nation to a hell hole over night. Prior to that, most SOF operations launched in Africa came out of Kenya.
