Rob, what does that mean? My friend had her gun on the chest of a guy, pulled the trigger and it wouldn't fire. Do you think the above is what happened?
The narrator of the video made it seem like a miracle the gun didn't fire.
It didn't fire because she interfered with the slide action. Anytime you're in a struggle with someone for a firearm, and it's a semi-automatic pistol as this one is, if you can find a way to apply pressure to any part of the slide from any angle, you cause the weapon to misfire. Or, if you can cause the person shooting to "limp wrist" the weapon (very likely here as well- crackhead doesn't seem to have a firm grip), it'll misfire.
This gun is a glock 9mm, one of the most reliable in the world. If you point it with a locked wrist, it fires 1000% of the time. If your wrist is limp, it can jam very easily. If you lean on the slide (or the shooter presses the weapon up against the body to fire it), it can jam very easily.
Some of those miracles where a person is fired on point blank and lives, are more likely limp wristing.
