microwaving ground beef
« on: February 24, 2008, 10:00:26 AM »
I'm getting too lazy to pan fry the extra lean ground beef and would like to know your thoughts on microwaving it.

I eat the stuff plain, so taste isn't much of an issue. I'm using a midsize microwave, perhaps in the 1000W range.  I've just prepared some that took around 9 minutes, I mixed it up midway through.

No pinkness, looks pretty brown to me!

Anything I'm missing, health wise? I'm going to try some ground chicken next for my upcoming meals.

Cook it, also it should only take about 10 min. to cook it anyway so there's no time savings by using the microwave. (JMO)
