MET-Rx Pancakes are back!
« on: March 04, 2008, 09:17:34 AM »
In the late 90s, MET-Rx, EAS and TWINLAB were the top-selling supplement companies in the business (Weider Nutrition was dying a slow death in the background).  Some of you may remember MET-Rx coming out with pizza, pancakes and all kinds of other nutritious foods to go with their MET-Rx eating lifestyle.  Of course, this product and all the other foods they launched were a total flop in the marketplace and further eroded the good name that the orignal MET-Rx MRP had established up to that point.  The product was discontinued but it's back!  At this year's Arnold Classic, MET-Rx were displaying the high-protein pancake mix.  My opinion: If it failed when MET-Rx was at the top of their game and if it also failed for Atkins just a few years ago, I doubt it's going to sell well now!

How  hard would it be to add some protein powder to your own pancake batter and just make them like that ?!

I came across a protein pancake recipe a while back that consisted of a couple scoops of protein, some oatmeal, and some skim milk. I remember it not tasting very good.
