Thats the plan so far.....there was too much happening for me to compete again when I wanted too after last years Excalibur, I had originally planned on the Cal as a qualifier then the Nationals, but as it stands right now...next years Excaliber, Masters and OPEN of course ;D

Hey, I might need a training partner........Alex ;)??

So no more "retired from bodybuilding" ;D ?

As long as we train on your turf. I like driving up.

Can't it be both? Come down to San Marcos, I live right on the Golf course, we can weight it out while doing a 9. Just don't hit my house, she gets pissy.

Oh shit....you're close to Torry Pines, I'm there :D

Without getting too mushy, there's been a lot of negative energy in bb in the last year or so.. it had a toll... but for some reasons I have a feel that it's lifting away. Seem like everywhere I go I see more enthousiam about it.

I ain't quitting anymore.

Well, to be honest with you, thats one of the reasons why it took me almost 20 years to come back and compete again and even when I was training for it, I was torn on wether it was a good idea or not....don't get me wrong, I still gave it 100%, trained hard and did exactly what I was told. I had alot on my mind at that time, some of the things were my wedding which was one week after the show, my stepson having the kidney tumor and was I doing enough to compete by todays standards. The Excalibur was only the third show I have attended literally since I stopped competing in 90'. I kind of had an idea of what I was up against but not totally.

But as I look around, it's a chemical game, the guys that I talked too back stage were on so much gear, it was hard for me to even comprehend....it was ridiculous.....to me, besides the judging standards, is the biggest turn off from competing.

There are other shows in California. Steve O'Brian, John Tuman and others promote them in Northern California.  John Lindsay usually takes care of the Southern California shows, although he has a few up north in California (Contra Costra, etc).

And don't forget Lonnie Teper's NPC Junior California show in California towards the end of June!

Ron

Lindsay promotes the vasy majority of NPC shows in CA.

Steve O'Brien does the Contra Costa, and that is usually his only show unless he co promotes the Cal with Jon Lindsay. In fact I believe Lindsay even co promotes the Contra Costa with Steve now.
