NYBA did okay in the first round with some good GNP.  But he was gassed after the first, and Kala dominated him from there out.  NYBA showed a lot of heart, he was getting stomped, and looked like a bruised tomato and was taken to the hospital after the fight.  Kala ain't no joke, he did a great job repping Hawaii.  No trash talk leading up to the fight, he just did what he said he would do.

You the fighters in Hawaii all have HUGE hearts.  I wish they would get together a team for the IFL.  Some rich dude should step forward and get that done.  Kim the girl who owned the Arena football team should do that now.  She has unlimited funds and it is something that would make money not like the Arena football.

I thought of going to the fight, a friend of mine had two tickets for me and my gf but i declined. crowd is always to punchy, too many Tap Out mokes walking around looking for trouble. not my scene.
was Baroni respectful before and after the fight? when is Robbie or Mayhem gonna fight again?

Same reason I don't go.  Baroni did such a good job hyping the fight.  I gained a ton of respect for him.  Unfortunatley the drunk crowd was still booing even after he was being taken away to go to hospital.  I saw the live stream on elite XC.  I hate the inter academy fights.  Nearly a riot after every fight.

too bad for Baroni, for the great fight he and Kala put out you'd expect an ovation at least...simply no respect by the fans. i think it was either Frank or Ken that said  Baroni was a good bussinesman.
Dont know much about Kala, havent been to the fight since the Inouye days. i went twice, first time i was drenched in beer by a drunk sitting behind me and when i looked back his friend had the nerve to say "easy killer" and just eyed me out, not like i was going to do anything at that kind of event, just turned to see what the heck was going on. that same night i found myself in a cloud of pepper spray as i exited the restroom.
the second and last time i went I almost got into an altercation because i had to tell a guy he was in our seats (which he was) i showed him the ticked stub and eveything. he was with his family and young kids. later when i went to the restroom i found him waiting outside for me, i told him im not looking for any trouble and just walked away.
not pigeon holing everyone that goes to these things but just from my experience.

Sad, but true.  When Baret fought Jeff Curan, there was nearly a riot when Relson taunted Baret after he got KOed.  Both Enson and Egan came flying to Baret's defense, and all the portugese Brazos came to Relson's.  Near riot with CHOKE pepper spray.  Not an environment I'd care to partake of anymore.

Same why I don't go to any of the fights in Hawaii.  The crowd is just way to uncontrollable.  Fights break out everywhere.  Were any of you two at the boxing match when Joe Frazier fought.  After the fight as he was leaving someone in the crowd said something to him and he leaped into the crowd.  He was airborne.  I was right there in the front row and it was funny as hell.

I was at the RITR where Mark Coleman was fighting with guys in the crowd.  Not enough cops, security can't do jack.

Just watched the fight. After the first round Baroni was completely gassed and got his ass whooped.

I like Elite...footstomps, knees to the head on the ground, all that good stuff.  :D

That is an Icon sport rule.  Elite owns Icon sport.  I agree, there needs to be consequences if someone doesn't pull off the shoot.
