Thanks anyways people, but the article is to non related to bodybuilding, this is a public newspaper. But I have my idea and have already started, the subject is on one of the things I have dealt with being a baseball coach and trainer....."Little League Elbow".

So let me get this staight "the coach" if the average high school football player runs a 4.6 forty, then by basic rules of average the slower guys on the team would run 5.0s and 5.1s while the faster guys would run 4.2s and 4.3s and that is on the "average" high school team..........LOL "the coach" you don't coach shit

This week a local newspaper asked if I would write articles on fitness twice per month in they're health section. I'm having a block on ideas, I know there's a million subjects, but I'm still drawing a blank.

Hey Coach.

You probably know this...but if you want great readership...try to be as informatively controversial as the paper will allow. Try to smash and dispel commonly held myths about fitness and nutrition, etc.

You will piss off some...but that means action wqill be taken.

I know you have a wealth of information, so your path is directed by you.

I believe the article I'm writing right now should help stir some positive controversy, for years I have been bitching to the league officials about the use of curve and other breaking balls and injuries that happen to young players, I have written letter with my findings backed by prominant orthos such as the Curland/Jobe clinics with their signatures to try and get that pitch banned. I will post the article when I'm done. It's short (about 250-300 words) but it's to the point.

Ask them to read a couple of your posts on getbig.... after they do that you won't need to come up with ideas any more.  ;)

In the last 3 years I have had 2 19 year olds, 1 18 year old and 1 17 year old in for post therapy training for Tommy John, this is one of the reasons why it pisses me off so much.

Ask Jedinight.  I think he said he is going to win a Pulitzer for writing fitness articles right after he wins the boxing world championships and surf a 200' wave.  I'm sure he can squeeze in an article ::)

This is for a local newspaper with a circulation of about 150,000. Got to be fitness related.

If it's for mass media, do an article about fat loss.  Most people are fatasses who don't have a clue what to do, and most of the advice in the regular media is dead wrong.  Hell, you just prepped for a show...  use your recent experience as a case study.

Yeah, but the prep ended with Joe still having a fat ass.

Maybe I should take out an ad in the paper with a pic of Joe in "contest shape"  ;D
