Calories in vs Calories out
« on: April 15, 2008, 12:29:00 PM »

i do not buy this crap for a second....he says to pick a calorie total for a day and eat it all at once
or divide it out, it doesn't matter....

the thing that gets me about "calories in vs calories out" is that people think the human body somehow
waits till the end of the day to total up calories in and subtracts them from cals burned and at that time,
the body decides whether to gain or lose bodymass ::)

plus the type of calories make a huge difference...a sugar calories is not equal to a protein calorie

yes, this is the biggest mistake int hniking.

you cant eat on a day to day basis..you have to eat accoring to what your body will assimilate and use for the next couple hours.

say two people both eat 300 g protien, 200 g carb, 100 g fat...    one person eats it in two meals, the other eats accorign to NEED, spacing it out into 4+ meals...     even with the exact same macro nutrient intake, and calorie intake, there will be a HUGE dipsrity in BODY COMPOSITION, (notice i said body composition, not weight)

yes....if you ran for 2 hours in the morning and didn't eat till pm, you would burn body fat and muscle tissue in the
morning WHILE you expend calories, then in the pm you are not active, using minimal energy and eating a large meal
which will mostly be stored

this guy calls himself an "expert" ::)

he is feeding off the ingorant people that just want to be skinny fat

i'm a huge believer in cals in versus cals out..but itr's how you get them. Eating them all at once is stupid...spread that shit out to provide your body with a CONSTANT supply of goodies to make sure you're getting what you need all day. Quality too..you want quality gains and quality size you've got to have quality cals coming in! I also take something like MAXIMUS or eat a big meal before bed to make sure that i'll have food in my system for my body to have fuel to build on itself at night too.
