I was actually reading about oral antiglycemic agents, and I discovered some very interesting properties about them. As you already know, there tends to be a huge amount of visceral fat on bodybuilders. Whether that is from GH or insulin, I don't know. My question is that have you ever thought of using using TZDs or even metformin to mobilize the visceral fat to the periphery. Both of these drugs, and especially TZDs, have been shown to effectively encourage peripheral fat production, and more importantly, visceral fat has been shown to mobilize it to the periphery. After the fat has been mobilized to the periphery, why not use standard calorie restriction or thyroxine to burn the fat? Wouldn't this esentially cure the large guts that are in bodybuilding? All of my ideas are theoretical , it would be interesting to see your viewpoint on this, given the fact that you have actually worked on this probelm with actual human beings in the past.
