They're not going to find cheap oil anytime soon. There's a lot of oil left, in places deep under the sea (like this) or in Siberia, Alaska, ... Places hard to extract, so it's expensive oil, won't lower the prices.
If we really wanted to, we could solve the oil problem within 5 years. Problem is, the people in charge are making millions and the general people are too stupid to realise they're getting screwed.
