Re insurance...that may be true....but believe me....if someone gets hurt under her watch and she is not certified....opposing counsel will have a field day and...depending on the extent of the loss....insurance will not be adequate and potential loss of gym or other assets would be likely....I guess my real impression is -do not hire a friggin trainer because, as the poster had said...she is 'hot'...I am sure Coach will agree here.
Anyone who'd hire an uncertified, inexperienced, or unknowledgeable trainer is asking for trouble. I own a gym and have been a trainer for almost 15 years. I have an NBA player 2 bodybuilders, 2 footballers and a 12 year old figure skater hopefully headed to the olympics. I also train a handful of housewives, business pros, physical rehab clients such as 2 guys with complete shoulder replacements, knee injuries, etc etc. Nobody would work in my gym without a very in depth knowledge of nutrition, anatomy, corrective flexibility and the insight to see a potential problem and the ability to correct it. On top of that a prospective trainer would have to be damn cool. I operate a positive energy gym meaning no corporate shitheads or shitheads from any other circle. My policy for clients as well as staff is check your cell phone, your libido, your religion and your politics at the door. Come on in and be nice.
Other gyms can do what they please. It's their gym so who am I to say anything. There's an abundance of incompetence in this field as there is in all fields from the guys that make executive decisions for companies to the guys that collect trash on the streets from in front of our homes. Blanket statements are for angry people without imagination and the ability to recognize others' achievements and contributions.
