Let's all be nice and tell them what gay marriage means.
I really can't think of how easy it must have been for them avoiding the marriage issue in relationships and how many cliche's they must have escaped. Never having to hear the 'free milk and a cow' analogy or "I'm not getting any younger" from their 30 yr old partner must have been nice. Also not having to deal with a 'Bridezilla' must have been comforting.
The party is over, the people who have worked so hard to gain the ultimate prize in all of gaydom must close the clubhouse and move on. But how long until the backlash hits gays who really didn't want marriage but were using the laws as an excuse to stay single? They were able to avoid divorce, alimony, child support, pre-nups and even better they could hit something forever without the spectre of an eventual demand for marriage looming in the distance.
