No question about it...drill.
Most leading experts (except far left environmentalists) all agree that it is vital for us to drill our own resources of oil.  Others around the world are drilling more for their own oil because demand & consumption are increasing.  Guys, this problem will not go away because oil demand around the world will go up.  Until we can perfect alternative sources of energies & fuel (which is a long way off), we must drill.
The far left democrats are really wrong on this one.

Damn the tree-huggers and the polar bears. I'm sick of these high gas prices and the Saudis having us by the short hairs.

Too lazy to look it up, but apparently there are only 5 - 10 billion barrels worth of oil in Alaska which is basically not much, maybe a couple of years' worth.  Also, it would take ten years or so to get it out to market.

Alaska at best could produce maybe a million barrels a day.
as long as there is increased demand, the prices will continue to rise.
the solution is not to drill Alaska, it is to reduce consumption of fuel, and reducing consumption by a million barrels a day is easily within the grasp of Americans. Drill Alaska only when it's necessary, ...and right now it's not necessary

Shoot youre missing the point.  Even if we drill the oil companies will sell to the highest bidders.  That wil be china and india.   They(Oil corps) will not keep america above water on prices just from the goodness of their heart.  Alaska couldnt make a dent in the amount needed.
Sorry bro, they would rape the fvck out of alaska and youd still watch prices climb to 10.00 a gallon.   Thats capitialism in highest form....its all good till your the one getting anal stitches......
