We could have won the war by know and u could still have said the same thing. Obama hasn't had an original idea yet. Atleast Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich argued for real change. I disagree with some or all of both of their positions, but it would not have been business as usual.

drop the obama ron paul dennis crap, this isn't at all about them.  My estimation was wrong.  Had we won the war by now, I would have been exactly right with my statements to this Timberwolf.  I'm wrong because I didn't anticipate the perpetual war on terror.  I should have because the words were there but I did not have complete understanding of what I was consuming at the time.  I should have guessed perpetual war, my bust on that.

As much as I despise the neo-cons, ...they cannot be solely held responsible.

Freedom isn't free. It comes with a price, and that price is constant vigilance.
Americans must take responsibility for what has happened to their country.

The truth is hard to hear at times, ...especially when coming from one like me whose diplomatic skills are lacking, but the truth is... Americans have been asleep at the wheel. Injustices have taken place at home & abroad, and you have turned a blind eye to it. You have not lived up to your promise or your creed, and many have paid a heavy price for it. Only when you feel yourselves paying that price for the first time, do you sit up & take notice. Unfortunately, you have been too consumed with insensitivity to the suffering of your fellow man, selfish pursuits, frivolity, apathy, that you have abdicated your responsibility to yourself and your fellow man. You have allowed usurpers to claim your birthright as captains of your own ship.

Never put down the reigns. As soon as you do, ...there will always be someone present to pick them up.

Yet as you saw many injustices being committed at home & abroad, countless horrific crimes against humanity being committed in your name, ...you still turned a blind eye to the truth, and lavished praise upon the criminals who were murdering in your name, ...and you wonder how you ended up in this mess?

It reminds me of the coach potatoe who won't work, but instead drinks beer and watches soap operas all afternoon, day in... day out... and then wonders why the eviction notice gets posted on his door.

That's the bad news.... however, just like Chinese sanskrit, ....a crisis can also spell an opportunity.

The Good News is... you still have the power to turn it all around.

Rise Up! Live out your promise and your creed! You can have a government of the people, for the people.
One in which each person is guaranteed their rights under the constitution... their right to life, liberty, ...and the pursuit of happiness.  It is not only the 11^th hour, ...it is 59 minutes and 59 seconds into the 11^th hour

Yes. Some people blindly follow.   I remember bush coming on tv and saying "the economy is strong"  We were all like WTH???     Took him years to admit its failing....some citizens are as stupid as he is, but most have seen the light.
