Brand is not important, just pay close attention to the ingredients. It should read Peanuts and salt, nothing else.

At Vons they have two kinds of natural peanut butter.  The labels are practically the same except on has palm oil in the ingredients, the other doesn't.  When they add oils, they also take away the peanut oil.

So read the labels.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but...Skippy does have sugar and palm oil (highly saturated) in it.  :-\

I have been to a few stores where you can grind your own peanut butter, like you would grind your own coffee beans.  The machines look like big gum ball machines with peanuts and you just turn it on and wholla!  Fresh peanut butter with no added ingredients other than the salt the peanuts were roasted with.

ive seen one where you can do either peanuts OR almods ! those are pretty cool !

the only thing is.... those nut butters taste so damn good one rablespoon and that jar is going to go missing in short order !!!  ;D i cant control myself with those in my diet
