i dont get Hossa's choice either..well i do but i dont.
i can understand wanting to go to a team where he thinks he can win now. but detroit just won this year and how often does a team win back-to-back? ....not very

for the money he took he just should have stayed with the pens. they have a great young team and definately a great shot at being back in the finals this coming season.
or better yet he just should have gone for the big $ my Oilers were offering

also, how stupid is it for a free agent off one of his best seasons, that everyone wants to just take a 1 year deal? what if he has one of his worst seasons ever or gets a serious inury? the offers will be a whole lot less next year.
anyways, im happy with what my Oilers did. no free agent signings but they made some great trades.
we gave up Pitkannen but got an even better d-man in Vishnovsky.
and we gave up Torres and Stoll but got Erik Cole and a great yuoung guy in Brule. again definate upgrades.
where does Sundin and Jagr go?
some talk that the Oilers are after Jagr
