Thyroid question, Please help

I found a bottle of Thyroid meds that my mom never used. they are 30 mg tabs, tan in colour and hace ECI written on one side. The label says to take two a day.

Just wondering if anyone has every heard of this kind of thyroid medication before and if it has any relevance to bodybuilding or fat loss for me?

clen works better than T3 for me.  Maybe I had bogus t3 though.  Atkins Diet would probably work better for you bro in terms of losing bodyfat.

the problem is is that I dont even know that they are even t3. Does t3 should like which I described?

They don't have a name of the bottle?  Google what is written on the pill along with any info from the bottle.  How do you know they are Thyoid medication and not birth control? 

Don't you live in a country where you dont need a script?  T3 is cheap.

thanks to vanbilderass. turns out the pills are made of t3 and t4.. Gonna have to use them next time I have to make weight, as my fat ass has been drinking to much beer this summer.

Not enough people on these forums use google. Many don't bother doing even the smallest bit of research before asking on a forum when the info is easy to find. In this case typing in "ECI 30mg thyroid" showed that it was Armour Thyroid. Type in Armour Thyroid and you find the prescribing info.

I have a healthy amount of respect for it - thyroid storm doesn't sound like fun. Milos can probably tell us how it feels.  He did transdermal thyroid and got in a bit of trouble.

personaly i dont really see a point in supplementing t4 for bodybuilding purpouses.

Haven't really looked into it that closely so I don't know. Probably no reason to use it if you have T3.

from what i know about it, there is zero conversion into t3 and zero effect on metabolism from t4 supplementation in people who have properly working endocrine/thyroid systems.

The only reason to really use it is if you were on high doses of GH.  Since your  body's natural production is at about 5:1 ratio of T4:T3 then you'd just adjust with the proper amount of T4, so if you were doing 50mcgs of T3  then you'd do about 200-250 of T4.  I think natty levels are around 25mcgs of T3 and about 100mcgs of T4 or thereabouts.

The using t4 with GH was an old thing that was going around that was not accurate.  T3 would be the correct supplimentation when using GH and only about 25mcgs ED will suffice.  Not sure how that T4 thing got started but it's not accurate.

IF you were supplementing T3 for whatever reason it wouldn't hurt to add in T4, but it's not really going to help performance wise.  IF you are supplementing from using GH, then you only need to worry about T3.

They are easy to spot, and yes.........using google even.

I wouldn't recommend fucking with your thyroid unless you actually need it.

Unless you taper on and off, you can permanently harm your thyroid and that's not something you want to do.

i used liquid t3. it made me feel hot as shit. i used it for like three days. i just wanted to eat shit. haha.  i stopped using and kept eating like shit because i was smoking weed and had the munchies. the combo of t3 rebound and munchies and eating peanut butter while playing video games = 20 lbs fat gain in about half a week.
