What are you gonna do put a rear naked choke on a guy with a knife to your throat?  ::)  LMAO! 

Or better yet when asking a BJJ guy what he'd do if someone pulled a knife on him......RUN!  Haha!

Actually you have as high of a percentage of someone pulling a gun or knife on you in your house as you do in the street.  The system also focuses on House Self Defense.   ;D

In brazil street/knife fights are pretty common. There are a number of gangs that use BJJ (Pit Boys) running around causing havoc. Ryan Gracie was one of the more notorious ones. As for defending against knife with BJJ - that happens pretty often over there too. There was a clip on youtube where Ricardo Arona was showing the knife scars on his hands.

hahaha that was a funny clip.  it would worked if the guy with the knife was just standing there and doing nothing else.

I believe if an individual is well versed in MMA would at least have a roller's chance at lasting the knife fight. In contrast to someone who absolutely no idea about defense. The tyranny would occur if the victim was done in Julius Ceasar style.
