It Was a Contact --- Rampage
« on: August 01, 2008, 03:07:43 PM »
A source close to Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has shed new light on the former light heavyweights Our source indicates that Jackson was fumbling around with a contact lens that was giving him trouble while driving and subsequently lost the lens. He was apparently searching for it when he sideswiped at least two vehicles, mildly injuring one woman.
A frightened, paranoid Jackson, who had again, been up fasting for days, then acted on instinct and fled the scene and eventually the police.

Jackson pulled over after giving police a brief chase and was fully cooperative with authorities after that point.

A hearing is set for Aug. 15 in which more details of the case should be revealed. The UFC is looking at a November return date for the popular fighter, possibly against Wanderlei Silva.

He does wear contacts. On his UFC match against Eastman he popped 'em out before entering the cage.

I don't buy that excuse because of what happened later that day.

Maybe he was masturbating and just climaxing at the moment he lost a lens.

That shit would make you confused.

A blowjob?  Idiots...

Who knows.  Maybe he was searching for a contact, and up for three days with only Red Bull and God as his company.  I guess that would make onyone jump off the deep end.

Or we could be seeing the next Tyson.  Don't forget he was saying he was god there for a bit.

Honestly doubt they would ever fight even though both of them said it would be a great fight. They still are friends despite what some have said on the internet.

Guess you don't understand the principles of friendship huh?

In other sports Blute you are not FIGHTING each other.

Fighting each other is easy. The aftermath can ruin a friendship.

Once again, friendship........

It's a SPORT not a street fight, and the risk of injury is SMALLER than a lot of other sports. I'd like to see the professional athlete that value friendship to a training partner over putting food on the table to his wife and kids, or that is willing to step away from the chance of being a champion in the sport he dedicated his life to.

So yeah, it's a bullshit excuse.
And you're wrong as usual.

That's a shame.  I really feel that a 100% wandy at his best could give anderson ALL KINDS of trouble..i think it would be an awesome fight.
i would love for wandy to do anderson the same way he did rampage

There are quite a few guys that Silva said he would never fight because they are his friends. Paulo Fhilo, the 185 puonder from the WEC, Machida and Wandy.  All these guys fight out of Chutebox and won't fight each other.

I think the whole "not fighting because we're friends"-thing is bullshit.
You're a professional athlete, so is the other guy. You get paid, you fight.
Nothing more to it.

I don't think Anderson and Wand are friends after he left chute Boxe and formed black house
sound racist!

Yeah but its tougher to beat up on a friend as opposed to a stranger. The same killer instinct can't be applied. Having said that I know a lot of fighters are friends with each other outside the octagon  Every now and then you get two fighters who can't stand each other in real life - that makes for a good rivalry/fight.

Fedor once mentioned that he would be less aggressive during his sambo matches when facing people he was friends with.
