Lemon juice is acidic so I don't think that will help much.

Glutamine works well.

If you're taking a few protein shakes here and there then I wouldn't worry about consuming more glutamine through powders and shit. Only way I'd take glutamine is if my health were in peril and I was mainlining it.

Eat yo' greens, nucka. Unless you've got some sort of specific health challenges, you probably shouldn't preoccupy your mind with ph concerns.

lots of green veggies take a good calcium and magnesium supplement and that should help out as well.

For the average person I would agree with this but for BB'ers who are eating 250+ grams of protein per day it might be adantageous to consider eating/supplementing to adjust pH.

That's a reasonable point. I know that a lot of my bodybuilding brethren neglect their greens though. I am guilty of this myself. I've recently started eating a lot more greens, especially now that I'm dieting and I think it's making a difference.

For most people, I think this would suffice. If not, they may need medical attention nonetheless. But that's still a good point. Safety first, right? In Canada here we can get blood tests for anything and it's free, but I realize that down South it's a little harder. I often forget how easy we have it up here. Everyone should still get a bit of blood work or a check up, just to know where they sit.

Agreed, many neglect their greens and they are certainly important in the regulation of pH.  Those that neglect getting their greens in the form of whole foods, a quality greens supplement would be a great addition to their supplement program.

Glutamine works well.

lemon juice causes massive amounts of sodium bicarbonate release from pancreatic cells= alkaline forming ash.

lemon juice>glutamine.

This was certainly a new one for me so I did a little research and this is actually quite interesting.

FWIW - From what I was able to find 2 Tablespoons is adequate and should preferrably be consumed before the meal.

Thanks for setting me straight.
