TESTOSTERONE AND ANXIETY
« on: August 19, 2008, 06:43:22 PM »
I am in my third week of a Test-only cycle.  Taking 400 mg/wk of cyp.  I had a fucking anxiety attack last Friday, got all light headed, thought I was going to faint, blood pressure went way up.  I had to leave work.  My Doctor gave me Xanax and I have been using them to help counteract this anxiety, but its got to be from the testosterone.   I didn't have it before, not like this.

I may try to just make it through the ten weeks by hitting the Xanax here and there, but I have considered pulling the plug on the whole fucking thing.  Anyone else get this type anxiety from test?  I want to finish the cycle but the anxiety is tough to deal with.

back in 2001 i used 500 test and 250 EQ.  i had real bad anxiety attacks and i was only 24.  i remember, i could not sit in a restaurant at a meeting...thought i was going to pass out or have a heart attack.  i knew in my head this was crazy, but I could not control it at all...  crazy.  i stopped it all, and never had any issues.  started back on 300 deca and 300 test, no issues so far.... again, its been 5 years ago.

sounds odd, i dont know why test would make you anxious.  did you have to give a speech or something?  I take a medication from my doctor called Triavil for anxiety and it helps alot, xanax is good too but generally you are only supposed to take xanax before a big event like a speech or something, triavil is something you take every day, you might want to look into that.

I have never experienced anxiety from aas use but everyone is different, i just think there is probably some underlying cause that is making you anxious and not the test.

You know, I had HUGE anxiety issues when my test levels were low.  Now that I'm on HRT, I'm calm and level as can be.

I've never really had anxiety issues, but if I did, I would imagine it would be brought on by low test levels, not when on I "ON"

Whenever I run a cycle I include a small amount of xanax to combat anxiety. .25 to .5 mg at a time. You dont want to become heavily dependent on Xanax

Yeah, that is exactly what I have been doing this week.  Taking .25 mg of xanax in the morning if I feel it coming on.  I cut down on the size of my morning coffee too.  I am not worried about getting hooked on the Xanax, I just wanna run a full ten week cycle b/c other than the anxiety, I feel really good, no sides at all.  I wish I wasn't such a headcase.  :)

Test makes you feels good.  Good in the sense of overall well being.  It does not make you mean or cause anxiety.

Women nagging you do cause anxiety though :)

I have had some problems with anxiety.  Based on my experience exercise is the best cure for anxiety.  Jogging works better than weight lifting, but I'm not sure if you really want to jog while juicing.  But it sure helped me a lot!  But I assume any type of cardio would be helpful.  I'm natural but I don't think that should matter too much.  Hope this helps.

You're not on any recreational drugs are you?  I used to take a lot, started getting anxiety attacks really badly and kept having them until about 2 years after quitting recreational drugs.

I would recommend just chilling.  doing things for relaxing, reading, going for walks, taking your girl to the movies.  Seeing you're on roids I presume you're doing enough excercise to get the benefits of that.
It hasn't helped...

First off, i know how anxiety is, it sucks. Before being on medication, i had really bad anxiety, panic attacks. Id say just stick with the xanax until your finish your cycle and maybe even take a small dosage everytime you do a cycle. Ive done about 6 pro-hormone cycles and did my first AAS cycle 3 months ago. I was really hesitant about taking any kind of steroid because i didnt know how they would effect my anxiety, nerves. But after being on meds for good 2 years, i had no problems.

Dude, my opinion, it's the EQ. A few months ago I started a test, EQ cycle. After first shot of EQ I got anxiety and repeated panic attacks. Never had them before. I stopped everything. It took me several weeks, if not a couple of months to get over having them- some of the time in those 2 months  i feel was just afraid of having another one. I guessed it was the time to get EQ out of system. I have read of huge panic attack problems with EQ. It has been a few months now. No panic attacks since. I have since started a test-e only cycle. No anxiety or panic. So I feel it was the eq not test at all. In fact, I feel awesome on test. No more eq for me ever. I have run test-e in the past with no problems but the EQ damn near drove me crazy. Second guessed my self in every situation. Even had to leave the gym a couple of times because I thought I was going to pass out or not be able to get to my car. That sucked. All is good now.

Good to hear you are doing better.  Really sucks when your driving and BAM an attack happens.
