my doc says my kidney function is low, anything out there to help my kidneys???
I asked her to send me a copy, she told me I had protein and albumen in my urine, I believe. She has me on a statin drug and I havent been taking it. I am very well hydrated, exercise, but she told me not to take supplements. I take a few...nothing illegal.
yes, I do eat lots of protein, water, egg whites, skim milk, not many veggies. one soda a day at most. I lift dailey, didnt take meds, dont understand the results.when I get them, I will post. thanks.
You mention not many vegetables and I don't see any whole grains, nor any mention of cardio. These are all part of the cholesterol equation. That, along with your genetic predispositon, age, sex, weight, race, other lifestyle components (ie: alcohol, smoking, etc.), all can play a role.Regardless of whether your Dr. is a pill pusher, apparently there's enough evidence to take responsible action. This is nothing to mess around with. High cholesterol is one of the major risk factors for heart disease which can cause a heart attack or stroke. Please educate yourself.
Princess can you explain how whole grains fit into the cholestrol equation?
lets not argue, Princess L is trying to help. I do 30-40 minutes of cardio a day. I eat oatmeal, fat free cottage cheese, lots of water, chicken, yogurt, drink fusion and water, I will eat some type of beans as well.do supplements screw up my blood tests?
