Amazing how easily a country can be divided.
« on: October 08, 2008, 10:16:07 AM »
What a shame, American people have forgotten how much power we have together.

Why do so many G’bggers spew ignorance about this country, its political process and defame the men who are trying to right the wrongs?

Maybe we need to remember the preamble to our constitution.

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Yes I think we the people have forgotten!

Maybe you should re-write the preamble. Am I allowed to defame Cynthia McKinney?

Simple solution: End all media coverage and campaigning by those running and get an independant to run who isn't a complete nobody or isn't certifiably insane.

I'm starting to worry about the polarization a bit too.  I've posted a commentary a few times about the political discussion in the country moving from agree versus disagree to good versus evil.  It really began in earnest during the Clinton years and has only gotten worse.

What good will that do?

It's a very bad sign.  Because more and more people are voting based on ideology rather than on issues.   You see, especially on this board, lots of labeling and stereotyping from both sides.  Not really a good thing.
